Install

Unpack the binary package (zip file) and move the contents to your tomtom Directory (e.g. /media/INTERNAL) just as they are. Thats it. It is not necessary to rebuild the systems kernel. You do not need opentomlinux! You can use the device with navigation software as before. The icon for xearth should appear in the setting menu.

Important: You should use/have installed TTconsole. Although xearth can run without TTconsole, there is no way to quit the program except for you use the virtual keyboard of TTconsole. Most of the features of xearth can only be accessed via command line arguments. see

 xearth -help

Xearth can create .gif files.
