TomTom GO 700

Design differences of the GO 700
The GO 700 does not have a SD card slot to exchange maps, but it has an internal 2.5GB harddisk. The harddisk used is a 1" CompactFlash drive, similar to the ones used in portable MP3 players like the "Creative Zen". Devices like these have quite big drives built in and cost less than the drive alone.
It might provide useful for some GO 700 users to buy such a player just to rip out the drive. This has not been tested yet, due to the lack of availability of the GO 700.
The GO 700 has a 15 pin connector for all IO. The RF connector is an "MCX" connector.
