It is based on TomTom GO (x20) - 64MB RAM, 1GB onboard flash. It has SD card slot, GPS with RDS-TMC receiver, Bluetooth (unused in some car models), some kind of accelerometer (not sure if it's not just information from car using CAN bus), CAN bus interface to communicate with other car components.
The original software might be probably used to analyze some CAN events - at least files like CANMerror.bin, DTCLog.bin are in /mnt/flash/diagnostics on device. But the question is, how we can access this feature.
