A quick test to see if your Tom Tom has a Bluetooth interface is the following:

  1. Go to the Console
  2. Type the following:
  3. /etc/rc.bluetooth
  4. If you get this as an answer
# NOT starting bluetooth

Your Tom Tom likely has no bluetooth, so the bluetooth console is not gonna work.
